We’ve previously discovered that 61% of Europeans would support TTIP and which arguments against free trade in general Europeans find convincing.  But which arguments in support of free trade do Europeans find convincing?

Almost 2 in 5 Europeans believe that free trade increases exports and this then creates jobs, which puts this argument in first place. A similar amount of Europeans are convinced by the argument that free trade allows consumers to get a greater range of products and services at a lower price . Only 1 in 4 in Europe overall think that free trade strengthens relations between countries which leads to a decrease in the risk of war, although the French (31%) and the British (32%) were notably more likely to cite it as one of the top reasons.
