Europeans had all the reason to be gloomy about their countries’ economies in the post-crisis years. How do they feel now?

Only a minority of Europeans is optimistic while most, 39% of them, do not expect their economy to get better or worse (9% said they don’t know). Most optimists are in the UK: Over a quarter of Britons think their country’s economy will improve, while 1 in 3 think it will get worse. The French are the most pessimistic: less than 1 in 10 think their economy will improve and half think it will get worse.

Let’s hope the pessimists can be proven wrong.
