A Brief History
of Dalia

In September 2013, we had an idea: what if we build a platform that leverages the rapid global spread of smartphones to revolutionise the way we ask questions around the world. Today, we process hundreds of millions of answers every month to generate data that represents the voice of 90% of the world’s population. 4 out of the 5 globally leading research agencies are among our clients, as are Fortune 500 companies, world-class universities and think tanks. It’s been quite a ride – see for yourself!

  1. October 2013

    Founding & incorporation of the company, and the start of platform development.

  2. November 2014

    First experiments across 40 countries.

  3. June 2015

    $1.4m Seed Round with IBB and Wellington.

  4. July 2016

    Our platform reaches 1 million new respondents per month and coverage in 90 countries.

  5. January 2017

    $7m Series A with Balderton Capital.

  6. November 2017

    Gründerszene Award for one of the fastest-growing startup in Germany.
