Despite Europe’s comparatively short working weeks, work-place stress is still a problem that Europeans grapple with. We asked 12.000 Europeans in December 2015 how often they felt stressed at work in a typical week, and the results of our survey show that 3 in 10 Europeans feel stressed at work very often.

Frequency of stress levels however, vary across regions. Southern Europeans were most stressed at work, with 40% feeling very often stressed at work, followed by the Northern Europeans (30%) and Eastern Europeans (24%). Women and men had similar levels of stress, with women being only slightly more likely to report being very often stressed at work (33%) than men (30%).
